“ Always a pleasure....scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon and avocado plus a flat white with actual coffee taste! ”
“ The food was a good portion and reasonable price but the cafe smelled of strong cooking oil. Will go back again in the area ”
“ Propa decent cafe! All I wanted was a decent sandwich and that's exactly what I got. Staff are really friendly and helpful offering you whatever you want , double check in that exactly what you want. A proper decent selection of sandwich fillings I went for the old school chicken and sweet corn which you honestly couldn't fault I've got a large bap and it was enough for me lunch. I'm glad I came here and didn't go into one of the chains because there is a absolutely every chain imaginable nearby. The place is immaculate toilets are immaculate the basement downstairs is very clean honestly couldn't fault this place real nice place to be on the strand very family orientated fresh ingredients really nice very clean very nice atmosphere a fraction of what you'd pay for lunch anywhere else around here if you was to be on the strand. Approx about 8 for bap and coffee. So probably a little bit more if you was going to have one of the fancy paninis which they've got an offer they looked very nice I just wanted to go old school. ”
“ Crown Cafe Bar, another old cafe but in Central London. Everything was displayed in the cabinets. The sausage stack looked impressive and they were the ones I like. I think I made the wrong decision because the bolognese was bland while the sauce lacked umami and tomato flavours. The meatballs were a bit fatty and waxy while there was too much rosemary in the sauce. ”
“ I've added this place to my fav Portuguese cafes: now 3 in total. Visited with my daughter after visiting inner temple Gardens. So welcoming when we went in and friendly service. We had 1 chicken bacon spinach sandwich and 1 prawn cocktail and salad sandwich. Both were huge; see photos, and very delicious. Great fresh bread. Reasonable prices too, 17 for 2 huge sandwiches and 2 drinks. ”
“ We went to Covent Garden and went wandering around to find a local cafe. We eventually ended up in Strand and found this cafe amongst other chain cafes. We always like to visit independent local cafes and we were not disappointed. Lovely staff, clean and cosy environment, toilets (customers only) were also clean. The sandwich fillings were generous and delicious. The bean to coffee met our expectations. We enjoyed the visit and may once again pop in should we visit Strand in the future. ”
“ It's a lovely cafe in the best location. The staff were very welcoming, and the food was delicious. It's much better and cheaper than the "High Street/ brand" alternatives. It's definitely worth a visit. ”
“ An absolute gem! This was the first stop of my day for every morning of my London visit. I had coffee and a variety of breakfast options from the salmon and cream cheese bagel, cranberry panini, and the pastries. The service was incredible, not just logistically—and they were very very quick—but the people here are top tier. I’m sad I can’t take the entire cafe home with me. ”
